Jeddah, Makkah, Al-Madina and Al-Ula

Within an hour northeast of Jeddah, Jebal Qama (Mountain Moon) already has several routes and rappel chains in place. The routes here are generally not very difficult.

Wadi Abo Oud is very easy to get to, being only 5 km and 5 minutes from the main road by a 4x4 car. The location is full of history with ancient drawings and writings all around as well as old arabic writings. Some of the climbing here can be up to 500 meters high. The classic climb here is a class 2A slot canyon with petroglyphs all around. There is also a sandstone mountain here called Umm Al-Daraj which is a tomb site that can be reached after a couple 5.6 crack cimbs.

I do not have a picture of Wadi Al Marwani but it is similar rock to Jabal Al Qamar but not as high. The area is more suitable to bouldering. This remote canyon has a track that accesses it through a very scenic section that then follows the stream through the wadi. The place is excellent for long bike tours and trekkers.
